A VETSHARPE product-development story

From the Forge to Product Development

When an experienced equine professional discovers VETSHARPE, a conversation can become an exciting product idea. We are currently working with a well-known UK farrier to explore and develop that idea, bringing together practical expertise and our growing range of equine-care products.

It always means more when expertise finds us

There is a particular satisfaction in being approached by someone who understands equine care from the ground up. While VETSHARPE has been working hard to expand its presence across the United States and develop new international supply relationships, a highly respected UK-based farrier discovered our range and contacted us with an idea for a practical hoof-care product.

We are now working with him to explore and develop that concept through a valuable product-development conversation about horses, professional routines, materials, presentation and how VETSHARPE products could contribute to a useful solution. It also provides a timely reminder of the growing global reach of the VETSHARPE brand.

We are far more than a supplier of individual products. We help connect specialist knowledge, dependable manufacturing and commercial opportunity.

Thirteen years of skill behind the idea

The farrier contributing his insight to this developing product idea has more than 13 years of experience and works across the breadth of equestrian sport, including polo, dressage, eventing, hunting, driving and showjumping. His work also includes remedial and laminitic shoeing—areas that demand patience, accuracy and an informed approach to individual hoof-care requirements.

That depth of practical knowledge matters. A product range designed for use around the stable, yard, clinic or forge must make sense in the hands of the people who use it. By listening to experienced equine professionals, VETSHARPE can explore kits and supply solutions that combine quality products with an intuitive, useful proposition.

From quiet craftsmanship to 104.9 million views

Farriery is one of the oldest skilled trades, but digital platforms have introduced the craft to an entirely new audience. Simple videos showing the shaping and fitting of a horseshoe proved extraordinarily compelling. The rhythm, sound and visible precision of the work created naturally satisfying content, often associated with the calming qualities of ASMR.

The response was remarkable: one million followers in only two months and 104.9 million views across the account. There was no need to manufacture a story for an algorithm. The attraction was the work itself—honest skill, performed well and shared authentically.

For VETSHARPE, that authenticity is important. We are listening to the farrier's practical experience and using it to help shape what the product should do, how it could be used and the value it could offer equine professionals and horse owners.

Exploring a tailored hoof-care product

Our current discussions are focused on exploring a practical hoof-care product and how it could work alongside relevant items in the VETSHARPE range. The design, specification, materials, testing, branding and final format are still being considered. Relevant product categories may include:

Hoof poultice pads

Conveniently sized equine poultice products for professional hoof-care routines.

Veterinary poultice pads

Versatile poultice dressings for hot, cold or dry application as professionally directed.

Premium cotton leg wraps

Soft, absorbent veterinary padding for equine bandaging, protection and wound-care protocols.

Cut-length wraps

Consistent, convenient lengths available in sterile and non-sterile formats for professional settings.

The aim is not simply to assemble a generic bundle. We are exploring how a respected professional's practical insight could inform a purposeful product supported by VETSHARPE's product knowledge, manufacturing relationships and supply network. Any final specification, branding, pack format, volumes and route to market would need to be agreed only after the development work has progressed.

More than manufacturing

A company may first find VETSHARPE while searching for a veterinary consumables manufacturer, private-label equine products, wholesale horse bandages, veterinary cotton leg wraps, hoof poultice pads or a dependable international supply partner. What we offer extends beyond the product itself.

  • Product range development: selecting complementary veterinary and equine consumables for a coherent retail, professional or distributor offer.
  • Private-label and branded opportunities: discussing suitable presentation and packaging routes for established businesses and specialist brands.
  • Wholesale and distributor supply: supporting veterinary, equine, agricultural and animal-health channels with commercially focused product ranges.
  • International connections: linking brands and businesses through our developing network across the UK, USA and wider global markets.
  • Practical collaboration: listening to the people closest to the product and exploring opportunities that create genuine value for both parties.

Every project is different, and all product, regulatory, packaging, volume and territorial requirements are reviewed before an agreement is made. That measured approach helps protect the integrity of the product, every company or professional involved and the VETSHARPE name.

Growing in the USA, being discovered worldwide

Our work to build the VETSHARPE presence in the United States continues alongside opportunities in the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe and other international equine markets. The approach from this UK farrier arrived while that American growth was taking shape—and perfectly illustrated why global brand development is rarely a straight line.

One connection can create a product concept. One authentic professional relationship can introduce a brand to a new audience. One distributor with the right local knowledge can open a market in a way that distance alone never could. VETSHARPE brings these elements together: premium veterinary consumables, equine-sector understanding and a network built for growth.

Could your business be part of what comes next?

We welcome conversations with established veterinary distributors, equine wholesalers, agricultural suppliers, animal-health businesses, retailers and credible professional brands. Whether you are looking to add premium equine wound-care products to an existing catalogue, discuss a tailored range or represent VETSHARPE within an available territory, we would be pleased to learn more about your business.

Distributor availability is deliberately limited. We cannot accept every application, and we want each appointed partner to have the attention and opportunity required to build the brand properly. If VETSHARPE could complement your current customer base, we encourage you to contact us before availability in your market is allocated.

Do not miss an available VETSHARPE territory

Our distributor network is growing, but appointments are limited. Introduce your company, the markets you serve and the VETSHARPE products that interest you.
